Speed:91.05
Agility:68.47
Jumping:50.35
Catching:55.13
Stamina:37.83
Carrying:29.32
Vision:34.5
Confidence:27.32

Possession Receiver Abilities 63722
Speedster Abilities 51130

WR #2

Strength:22.58
Blocking:19
Speed:88.62
Agility:59.4
Jumping:52.92
Catching:53.33
Stamina:41.46

IMHO the WR problems are beyond the scope of something that the user can fix. Your just going to have to ride out the problems until we get another sim change, hopefully one that makes us overpowered again. The best WRs right now seem to be the ones who have everything softcapped, and speed on the low side. So, start by capping vision, confidence, stamina and try to stick to 1 sa tree if possible. You can come back for speed once you can catch.

For the season, (I don't know who is #1 or 2)
Catch rate for both are pretty good, be better of course if they were 66-80%.

WR #1 or 2
22 attempts
13 catches
2 drops
6 PDs
59% catches

WR #1 or 2
30 attempts
17 catches
2 drops
9 PDs
57% catches

Not many will agree with all of this, but I say... (in this order)
Catching to 60 (or at least get past mid 50s)
Carry to 40+
Vision to 40+
Confidence to 35+

If you cannot catch you are not a receiver.

This.

WRs and QBs this year = speed rushing DEs last year. It's a bad year to be a QB. My WR had 1577 yards and 34 TDs over the last 2 seasons. He's on pace for 394 yards and 8 TDs this season. His stats have literally been cut in half going from 50 yards and a TD average per game the past couple years to 25 yards per game and a TD every other this year.

WR problems = build not being utilized properly by team

If your owner is not customizing the playbook to find successful routes for your WR, do it for them.

If the team or the gameplan is weak and/or predictable and you are the only weapon, find a new team. Teams will key on you.

Imo, if you don't have an elite QB, you aren't going to have elite WR production anymore unless you're playing in an inferior league. Doesn't matter what you do build-wise. And elite QBs seem to be a tough thing to find this season.

devin hester is one of the, if not the fastest wr in the league, but is he the best wr? no ...

most agents build wrs with so much speed and agility that they ignored things like vision, confidence and maybe even catching and jumping thinking that they would run past the whole defense every time they make a catch ... which doesnt happen in football ...

Fitz is a GREAT WR, but he's not as fast or agile as hester, but his field awareness is amazing , notice he always finds the ball in the air and has the jumping and catching ability to catch the ball with his hands, not with his body ....

he also runs precise routes and if you watched the superbowl you know he has 'confidence' the steelers shut him down for most of the game, but his 'morale' stayed high, players without confidence would have began to under perform where as he made a big play at the end of the game ...

Yeah except the WR I mentioned is not even a speed build. He's got 98 speed but that's only because the owner asked me to move all my equipment to speed a couple seasons ago. Catching and Jumping are both 2nd capped, Vision is almost 2nd capped, Confidence is 1st capped. 11-7-6-5-4 in the posession tree and 2 in First Step. He's not a speed receiver. In fact our teams #2 receiver, who is still having a crap year but a better one than Lance is having, *IS* a speed receiver so yeah there goes that theory.

This isn't like the LBs-built-like-CBs who are crying that Power Backs should be nerfed because their 25 tackling and strength isn't getting the job done anymore. QBs and WRs of all types are suffering right now and most OCs agree the only type of offense that's REALLY working in the Sim this year is a power rushing offense.

Percentages seem a little down this year but it isn't that bad, only about 10% but the average pass is going a lot further so works out about the same. I'll take 67% from my WR most days quite happily.

I cant understand the sudden success of one of my WR:

I was traded from a SA Pro to a SE Asia AAA team at half point of Season 7 and here was his stats of the games he played with the asian team in Season 7:

Tsubasa Ohzora

52 attempts
48 catches
1 drop
9 PDs
92% catches
594 yds
12.4 YPC

Then, in 2 games of the playoffs:

16 attempts
13 catches
0 drops
5 PDs
81% catches
168 yds
12.9 YPC

Then, in Season 8:

53 attempts
40 catches
1 drop
14 PD
75% catches
399 yds
9.9 YPC

It proves 2 things:

1) The Season 8 updates have not helped the WR so far!

2) But you can still catch a good percentage of balls depending of your build, the opposing CB, your QB and your style of offense!

i wasnt speaking about your wr, but keep in mind your wr has to go against the best cb every week, the other guy goes against the number 2 cb

Obviously you're not biased at all with your power back right? Didn't even need to check to see who your top player was to guess correctly on his build.

25 tackle/str is a joke. LBs-built-CBs are still better than LBs-built-like-DTs, and to be more accurate it's 60 str / 50 tackle LBs that can't get the job done anymore.. 100 strength 60 speed 50 agility powerbacks crush everyone.. and that should be a TERRIBLE rb build. That should be good for 2 yards consistently.. not 10
