Ran into a few times when opponent just ran those slams to the inside. And even when I stop them at the line seems like they get 3-5 yards a pop. Anyone have any suggestions on defenses to fight this?

Its pretty hard to use tactics to prevent run plays from gaining 3-4 ypc. Your best set up though is the following:
4-3 Cover1 run focus short man underneath with LB shift either strong or no shift.
Beyond that, you need really good builds on the d-line, LB, and SS who can beat the offence and make great plays.

Exactly, and you want your D-LIne to have a lot of strength to gobble up defenders and your LB's to have a lot of speed to get there. But I wouldn't advise building a player towards defending just a few plays.

Strength DE's still help a bit...but I've given up being able to stop it this season.

Yeah, you *can't* stop it.
You can only hope to contain it.
4th and 2 or less is a freakin' guarantee if you only run two inside run plays.

I've found 4-3 Cover 1 zone underneath short zone distance strong side shift blitz LOLB and SS seems to work very well. It's key to have strong players at LOLB and SS and they also need to be very good tacklers... otherwise the power backs will run right over them.
