Ditka, our guys have almost the same build. (the real difference in my favor being confidence)
In a scrimmage this pre-season I kicked a 54 yarder, but overall I've had basically the same negative results.

I think the only thing you need is time.
Just keep opening up the range for scrimmages until your guy can prove it.

That's not a bad build, you're on the right path. Now is the time to seriously start pumping SA's. SA's might be more important for a Kicker than any other position in the game. You're at a level now where you can start paying serious attention to them.

But overall, you're definitely on the right path. My kicker just hit his first 50+ yarder this season, and he's level 30. I've been paying considerable attention to my SA's, and have them at 6, 6, 8 right now.

Ditka, cap vision once more then pump SA's. You are probably only 5 levels away from your kicker being solid.

Oh wow. Yom, how the Yaks doing? Been a long time.

Personally, I think bashildy has the better idea. At this point, vision seems more important than SA's. Get that up to the 2:1 cap or even 3:1 cap if you're feeling frisky and you should be golden.

Big Boot helps a lot.

+1 on capping vision. As far as SA's. You need calm nerves to be higher that the rest, Big boot slighterly lower, and automatic lower that big boot or the same. Every kicker needs calm nerves on the road and for clutch kicks. Big boot is for kick-offs and long FG's. Don't need automatic as much if you are going to cap conf. You are also going to be getting VA's, pump clutch, it seem to be working great for my FG's this season. My SA's are 7-6-5 .
