Have SP to spend but find myself pondering a few things. He's been struggling for distance so far this season (only punting about 38 yds for some reason), despite previous excellent seasons, and i'm lost for how to fix that up. Have 15SP to spend so thinking strength or confidence (or both) towards the next caps, but after second opinions.

I like your build a lot. I think your biggest gap is confidence (and Calm Nerves). I wouldn't invest more into strength until we know that it actually matters.

I agree, I'm also a big fan of hang time after comparing my 10 in it to punters with low amounts. I think you should focus on CONF, as its your secondary stat and needs a bit of a boost. Good job otherwise.

Is it me or has something changed (again) that is limiting punting? I was pretty consistent (45+ maybe) with only Touchbacks killing my average.

I know last season distance suffered, but my punts still were pretty consistent. I all my SPs since has gone into confidence and I added an AE with Big Boot, and I'm having days with 31 yard punts?

Yes, I've noticed another overall decline to my punting average. Mainly, I don't have the "big punts" like I use to, it seems. I know that there were some crazy punts at the start of the season (89 yards!), so Bort probably nerfed those a bit. perhaps this impacted our other punts, as well. I would say the difference is in the order of 2-4 yards/punt, on average. not as much overall as last season, but still noticeable.

At best, I'm punting about the same, yet my guys are improved.

Let's keep our eyes on this.

True. With all the crap punt's he's had he's still 2nd in his league. If some of the TBs would have gotten OOB he's be #1.

To be honest, building a punter is now more about how high can you get your bars than actually how well you perform in games. Kinda depressing, but I've learned to accept it with my punter as his yards/punt have gone down since punting for 44+/punt pre-nerf.

If you want to be a gold-bar punter, just pump your confidence to the 74 cap and you should be pretty close. As toppshelff stated, I wouldn't put one more SP into Strength until we know it does something. Maybe pump up Calm Nerves if you are having trouble with touchbacks or hang time if you are having issues with punt returns.

Other than that, we are all guessing now before the next change to punting comes
