Here is the explaination:

Strength of Record

Equation

Strength of Record = (Total number of wins of opponents you have defeated) - (Total number of losses of opponents that have beaten you)

Definition

This is measure of how good a team is. It rewards beating good teams and punishes for losing to bad teams.
Quality of Play

Equation

Quality of Play = (Actual total point differential) - (Predicted total point differential)

Definition

It is essentially how many points (total) that team has beaten (or not beaten) the spread by. I feel it is a good indicator of whether a team is playing better or worse than expected.

I understand half of the formula now, but who/what determines the spread? It seems like that is the catalyst for everything. Also, if you say that it has nothing to do with who is the better team, or who wins by the most, how can that be called a "Power Ranking"?

But all in all it is something to look at and keep everyone talking every week, so thanks for posting it!

the assassins should already be last in the power rankings IMO, theyre just not that good compared to the rest of the league

Coming from a Lions fan, that means so much...LOL.

Hey as a Bears fan, I've come to like Lions fans..you've gotta give it up to the ones that stuck around after last year!

Please look away from these rankings, there is a glitch in my spreadsheat having teams losing a game that they won. So its not 100% accurate at this point.
