That's not true. Here's what needs to happen the Highlanders get into the playoffs over the Hustlers:

1. The Hustlers lose to 3KW
2. The Highlanders don't choke against a gutted team.
3. The Highlanders beat the Hustlers.
4. Bali loses both of their remaining games.

This would result in the two HKHs being tied for 8th place, and with a head to head win, the Highlanders would get the final spot. It's actually a very plausible scenario.
