I've toyed around by creating, rolling, and then retiring a couple of dozen level 1 TEs and have come to the conclusion that the only useful SA that ever comes up for a LEVEL ONE is "Run Block". I admit that "a couple of dozen" rolls is a rather small sample size, so maybe one of you out there can correct me--have any of you seen a "Quick Cut", "Run Route", "First Step" or other similar beauty appear for a LEVEL ONE TE?

You really ought to stock up on bonus tokens for at least the player's first 2 seasons (better off with more than that), then start looking for good AEQ.

Yes, that was what I wanted to confirm.

I was more referring to Why would you bother... the gear rolls get better the higher the level not to mention you could use those 8 points or so for the temp boost+5/+ 1 SP. I wouldn't even consider buying gear until maybe lvl 16 or so... at the earliest.

I started a TE around Day 30 or so season 7 and rolled some good stuff for my 2nd generation blocking/balanced guy. +1 Block, +1 STR, +1 Agi, in various combinations with +1 Run Block SA, were all available. Only cost me a max of 2 rolls to get one. Receiver gear wasn't as prevalent.

when there was a limit on tokens that could be rolled over, there was a good reason to get aeq early and stick tokens on it. now not so much, although there's really no harm in it since you get all your tokens back, and you could use a piece of equipment in the meantime even if it isn't the best, then once you have enough tokens saved up to do the full upgrade for your level, then start shopping and find your keeper piece.
