So I just created the player. I'm supposed to hold off on spending these initial points, right? Should I just start intense training speed and catching or something? Anyone have a specific guide about slow building a speed TE? Thanks...

You have to focus on your major attributes that matter first (which for a speed receiving TE is only catching and vision). My suggestion is as follows...

Train Catching/Vision
Catching to the 2:1
Train Vision/Agility
Catching to 3:1
Vision to 2:1
Train Speed/Agility

Then go after speed and agility like crazy.

Having catching at the 3:1 cap seems excessive.

You could just softcap it. I've seen people do it both ways. Matter of opinion.

I used to think so but I recently read that the recievers catching ability is one of the factors in weather or not he's targeted by the qb. In my experience, getting the qb to throw to my TE is the biggest factor in his production. Anyway, I've been thinking about bring it up pretty high myself.

if your building a speed receiving TE train speed and hold points till you can throw it all into speed and reach the first soft cap.

thats a start for yah.

Eric, the fact that spd isn't a major attribute for a TE makes you seem like you don't know what you're talking about.
