Having testers is just part of the business. There isn't a major title out there that doesn't have non-professional testers. WoW had testers, Madden has testers, Street Fighter had testers, every game has testers. It's a necessary evil.
That being said, with the existence of testers, there is now no excuse for Bort not to detail every single aspect of the game. All Special Abilities, attributes, and "formulas" should now be shared with the public. But is this going to happen? LOL
No, I think only the exact test results and the builds that were used should be shared. We will then know exactly what the testers know. They don't know what each VA, SA, or attribute really does so their is no need to make that public knowledge.
The main tester, tpaterniti, has all his builds open. You should check it out
Thats just his builds though. I'm referring to the builds used in the actual test sims. It's no good seeing the games/results if we don't know what was used.
And then we have to go based off of hearsay from testers and imitator testers. The blog that Bort wants to put in will be a decent idea but can still lead to false information, only with the actual test builds open will we have all the knowledge that testers have.
