(San Juan) - The San Juan Cabelleros home game against the Wildcats on paper looked to be a tough game. The truth of the matter is that it was exactly the opposite.

The San Juan defense SHUT OUT the Carolina offense and held the opposition to less than 200 yards of total offense and forced them to punt 7 times during the game. Dylan Windsor was the team leader with 5 tackles a forced fumble and 2 pass deflections. He was unavailable for comment. Linebacker Darren Force had 5 tackles and a pass deflection.

The offense rode the back of Rush Magruder for the second straight week as he led the Cabelleros offense to 180 yards and four touchdowns. John Cash, the starting quarterback, added 200+ yards and a score as well.

The kicking game had great success today as Kicky McBallstriker hit both field goal attempts and all 5 extra point attempts. Bassy Juno didn't have much work as the Cabelleros offense kept their drives alive and made them successful, but he averaged 34 yards on two punts during the game.

After the game we caught up with McBallstriker who had the following to say:

"I think it was our most complete performance of the season so far. The offense seems to have gelled over the last few games, as we had trouble scoring heavily in the first few games. The defense has always been excellent, and they have showed it again today. Since we brought in a few GM's to help with tactics and the general running of the team, the performance has definitely improved. On the kicking front, there wasn't alot of drama...the two field goals I made were close to the posts, which shows that if we couldn't quite find the endzone on 3rd, we were close enough to make the kicks very simple to make. Bassy only has two punts to make, and he got plenty of yards on them."

The Cabelleros are looking to continue their winning streak next game and extend it to four games.
