My team is in that limbo-phase... we're not level 4 who haven't used any points yet, but we're not competitive in our uncapped league either.. we've gone from losing 220-0 to losing 90-7...

At this point I'm looking to salvage fan support however possible, and I'm thinking keeping our inevitable losses as low-scoring as possible may help that...

So... would those of you with experience recommend a mostly 'zone' style defense? My thoughts are that if you have everyone playing medium to loose, and zone, and wrap-up tackling, you may give up 10 yards at a time to a team much better than you, but you will avoid giving up 80 yards plays... so it takes them longer to get down the field and you only lose by 70 instead of 150.... which hopefully has some positive impact on the inevitably terrible fan support of a slow-build team in an uncapped league.

Fan support resets each year to a minimum of 30/10/0, and you're going to finish under that if you go 1-15, even if all the losses are by 1 point.

With that stadium, and cash.. By the time you need decent fan support to pay for equipment, it'll be 5 seasons from now. You'll be winning by then.
