How about testing to see if Super elusive moves down field enough. Or testing the effectiveness of creative route running.
The goal of their testing is to find and fix issues in the game not to find out what effect confidence has.

Bort knows the effects of confidence and vision because he wrote the code and he sets the effectiveness of stats.
The only advantage a tester will have is knowing what is broken but that information is useless because Bort will fix it before it goes live.

This is so we can see what is going on and know what is being tested.

People are scared of the unknown and hate it, make it known and we will probably not mind it.


That is what is going to happen.

To be entirely honest though, the tests will not reveal anything of any use to you as they're typically working out base modifiers to identify issues that will not exist in the live code. Even knowing the players stats are not likely to reveal even a modicum of useful information that can be brought to the live server, as the "knowledge" is gained from comparison and repeat testing and comparison of a series of tests for the purpose (really) of ensuring extremes work.

Thank you Naki, you pretty much nailed it straight on the head.

Super Elusive has been tested, as yet the tests are inconclusive as there's not a large enough base and it hasn't been done with anything akin to a range of players. Unfortunately, as path finding is still junked it's like trying to test a waterwheel without any buckets on it.

Creative route running I don't believe anyone has anything lined up for - just because the benefits/penalties seem to be obvious (if not consistent or particularly more or less effective).

If any testers are reading this I would just like to point out that safeties in this game are still borked. After a safety occurs the team that had it go against them free kicks it from their 20 they DO NOT kick it off from their 30. Thought I would pass that around since it is a simple rule in football that seems to have been ignored in this game from the outset and I would think would be pretty easy to fix. If it has already been fixed ignore this post but if not get to reporting it as a bug!
