ALright,

I have a level 45 FB and a level 29 HB (I am using the FB as a reference to support a strategy).

Now, my HB only has 6 VPs. ANd My strategy is to get track star and quick to 10 each. As I am reaching that goal, I will not be using the percentage or "ability" type VAs until my attributes are there. Even though clever instincts, quick feet bruiser, slippery and clutch seem like great SAs, I think they are more aimed at guys who are in their 40s and have high SAs already and their attributes are where they want them (basically the build is "complete).

I figure I could just use the attribute boosting VAs until my attributes and SAs are up really high. once the SAs are high, the "ability" VAs like quick feet, slippery and such, will work better because they will just add to the overall percentage to execute that ability.

Does that seem to make sense? I am also thinking that bort will be taking away the attribute VAs because that will offset DECLINE, and also, when you think about it...veterans are not known for getting faster and more agile, but their SKILLS and instincts improve.

There are some VAs that are not very "veteran"

For hbs i feel that you are better off getting two or even three base stat modifiers and then you choose one other % va

seems to me like bruiser for a power back is better than the workout warrior.

just saying a power back with 70base str and 15 in workout warrior gets 10.5 bonus to strength which will help you break a few tackles, but a those same points in bruiser will help you break 45% more tackles

Thats the new fad...for LBs and Safeties. Too many broken tackles last season. One guy had 16 on one play.

And I think that the attribute modifiers are the way to go until your guy gets to the high 30s-mid 40s range.

I also do not think that 70 base strength is enough for a power back. That sounds like a balanced back with a slight lean to power.
