It's not "too situational" if you're racking up 50+ PD's per season. And it's even better because WR's are forever catching deflected balls, then going nuts with jukes to get free somehow. I've maxed it out. I guess time will tell.

I actually like this VA for a CB or S. It's a single VA that gives up to 15% boost to 4 different important atributes at the same time. And it doesn't specify that you have to deflect the ball to get the bonus, just that the ball is deflected. My team had 240 deflections last season, so that would potentially be 240 times this VA triggered (assuming my CB was on the field for every play where a deflection occured, increasing a chance for my CB to get an INT if he had this VA and it was maxxed out. Of course, that's assuming the description isn't badly written, and it only works off you own deflection, that that doesn't seem right, so I'll go with the wording.

Up to 15% bonus for only a moment on a handful of plays where it is meaningul. If the ball is deflected you could be on the opposite side of the field. You quote 240 times, but you are probably only even on the field for at most 180 of those, are probably on the opposite side of the field for 90 of those plays. Of the maybe 90 (and I think that number is way too high) plays where you might even be on the same side of the field including the maybe 30 PD's a good CB will have (your CB had 27 PD's last season) the bonus lasts only momentarily. Once a ball is tipped, it generally will take less than 2 seconds (I think I'm being generous) for the ball to either be caught or hit the ground. So over the course of the season this bonus should only be effective for maybe 100 seconds, less than 2 minutes, over an entire season. Seems like a waste to me.

I'm probably going to try it this year. I have an AEQ with a bonus to INT%, so maybe with a few things working together...

At most, it might be worth 2 or 3 INTs a year, but hell, I played all last season with Long Reach maxxed and I had less PDs. And for increasing INTs, there isn't really anything else out there that boosts your chances at an INT when you are in a position to utilize it, as a skill that boosts 4 important attributes.

ballhawk would be much more worthwhile after you max out the key attibutes with vxp imo. my cb averages about 3.5 pd's a game over his career(79 games) and has never had less than 42 pd's in a season, and i still wouldnt put vxp in ballhawk, it isnt in the top 5 va's for db's ... why choose to have the TEMP boost only after a pd? why not work towards having it ALL the time ...

Here is another Ball Hawk situation.
Notice how neither this one, or the one Viscount posted say anything about pass deflection. So I wonder how many interceptions have some pass deflection in them and we just don't get to see it because it is not as pronounced as these two replays.

Actually, there is, it's called Superior Vision.

^^^^ And shutdown coverage...but just 3 significant boosts.
I agree with the detractors here. Too situational to be affective. I think it may be useful to a Safety playing in zone who, with a high vision & speed, reacts quickly to where the QB is looking and where the ball is thrown. It seems my safety gets alot of tackles right after the ball is caught. This is why jackhammer seems like a good idea, but I haven't tried it yet.
Anyway, I'm in the too situational boat.
