is this true?

Similar but not quite, it doesn't affect your acceleration, only your direction changing.

Lol. Unhappy with the replies in the other WR forum? It does not equal agility. It doesn't help you catch, accelerate and the whole other gamut of what agility does. All it does is decreases the amount of speed lost when cutting, that makes your WR run his route faster if it isn't a straight route.

Many people would disagree with that, myself included.

You think quick cut effects the catching modifier roll and the rate of acceleration?

changing dirrection, or cutting quick for the matter, is acceleration.

acceleration is a change in the rate of speed or direction.

Acceleration is an increase in speed only, quick cut doesn't give you more acceleration, it reduces the speed loss when cutting, big difference.

Example:

Rather than going from 60 to 40 mph on a cut, with QC you'd reduce the amount of speed lost while cutting going from 60 to 50 mph.

From a scientific perspective, RobertRJS is correct. Acceleration is any change in velocity. However, acceleration in GLB commonly refers to a change in speed only.

The Quick Cut description states that the angle at which a player can turn increases. When your WR is catching passes he'll turn and adjust to the ball so Quick Cut may come into play.

Some of the Pro League players with CBs with multiple INTs that I've spoken to have said they think Change Direction (Quick Cut) has helped with their INTs.

Also, there's the fact that my WR with 12 Quick Cut and 51 catching was my only WR with 0 drops this season.

Ok, I'll give you that Visc. it makes sense, but do you think the mechanic that governs turns is based on agility or is the turn like an SA firing where you couldn't make that turn with all the agility in the world if you had no QC?

I'd imagine it's based on both and probably other attributes and SAs as well. I remember a few seasons ago when everyone was having lots of incompletes thrown and Bort saying that main attributes for WRs on comeback routes was agility and vision. Since Quick Cut is kind of like extreme agility it probably helps slightly more, especially with WRs having to stop to catch passes this season.
