Should you even be concerned with jumping?

all defensive players should be concerned with jumping to a certain extent. But as far as D.T.'s go it's at the bottom of the list.

I have one of my guys softcapped and it worked pretty well in Season 6 for PD's at the LOS. Unfortunately, I get the feeling that Bort increasing the angle and reducing the velocity on passes in S7 may have nullified the effectiveness of jumping for this purpose. It seemed like last year it was possible to bat passes intended for a receiver 20 yards away from the QB. This year it seems like it can be 8 to 10 yards away max.

I think a lot had to do with all the QBs changing from bullet to medium loft as well.

I think training jumping to 25-35 after you have taken care of agility, strength, speed, vision, stamina, tackling is advisable. Anything above that is probably wasted sp.
