I'm just throwing this in here as an example of how we may want to rank the teams in the future. I only used the Eastern Conference b/c this is just an example (although the figures are real) and I'm a Maryland Predator.
Ranking the teams this way (or with some other sort of variation) is straight forward and not biased. Not based off of a couple different team's representatives picks. Although, using a coach's ranking as another category could work with this, as long as each team participates and ranks every team in the conference and/or league.
These Power Rankings are based off of record, strength of schedule so far and the difference between points scored and points allowed for each team. Again, just an example, there could be diffferent categories, even different weight given for each category. I made each category equal in weight towards the final ranking in this one.
