they get blocked by the C and RG the whole game. Might as well put points into nothing IMHO.

usually they're run stuffers which means the stop the run and put the QB under pressure! for that you need strentgh & agility as your main attributes

They occupy space and occasionally get a tackle. Their manin purpose is to hold up two blockers so that others can fill the gaps and get the glory.
