Western Conference
#1 Lynchburg Lightning VS #2 Central Processing Unit
Throw out their regular season match because this is for the Conference Championships! Lightning showed a chinks on its armor on its last four games. They did blowout the Jokers but struggled to blowout the All Stars and then had to come up with big plays against the Cage and the Chiefs. While they struggled the Central Processing Unit rampaged through their last four matches averaging a whopping 70 points and limiting their opponents to a ball busting 9 points per game.
If the Lightning doesn't bring their "A" game against CPU, they will need a miracle to pull of a win. With the way the CPU is playing it would take a missed play here and there for them to lose.
Prediction: CPU wins by 4 field goals
Eastern Conference
#1 Teikoku Alexanders VS #2 Bronx Black Flags
Another #1 VS #2 over here. Alright!!!!
The Alexanders managed to win that extremely tight game against the Dogs via who else Whitesquall's two rush TDs in the fourth. As I've said, limit him to less than two yards rushing and you'll have a shot at winning it. Too bad for the Dogs because the Alexanders D buckled down and shut them off in the fourth. Kudos to the Alexanders defense.
While the Alexanders needed Whitesquall's legs the Flags needed the arm of Macy Hannah to pull off a win against Port Moody. Both teams played like two heavyweights in their prime. It was like Ali VS Frazier in Thrilla in Manila. Both teams managed to shutdown each other's strength and that is their running game. So they have to switch to their air game which both are lacking a bit. Both QBs played like they were Montana and Young. Dissecting play after play after play but both team's defense were on their "A" game. A pass here, a pass there, a run here and a run there... Who will blink first? Unfortunately that first quarter touchdown pass by the Flags put them into a tight corner although they did come up big they didn't take advantage of their red zone opportunities.
Now back to the Alexanders and Flags match up. If the Alexanders can come up with that defensive stand that they made against the Dogs they should win this one courtesy of Whitesquall's power running. But if the Flags shut down their running game they have to find a way of find the end zone via the air mail. If the Flags come into the game with the same defense that held the Pain running game in check they should make this one really close.
Prediction: Another upset here, Flags win by a field goal
