If you run a Dime formation against a 2 WR set is it possible to not double cover the WR's. For example, in Madden when I run a dime against 2 WR the two inside CB's will cover the TE and RB/FB (Depending on side). When I run dime against two WR on GLB it seems like they always choose to double cover both WR's. Anyway to tell them to man up on the TE or RB OR is there a way to just have them drop into a zone if they dont have a WR to cover?

you could run a cover 4, but that would be man coverage on the WRs with 2cbs and both safeties in deep coverage.....

The only way to not double team them is to run zone I think.

Does this seem like a problem to anyone else? I mean it seems weird that if I want to run the dime more often I either have to be double teaming guys that I might not want to, or choose to run a zone type formation. In Madden this was a great strategy against speedy backs or TE's. Line a CB up on the TE and RB and pass plays are covered better and it usually allows the MLB to fall back into a middle zone or QB spy. Are these things that might be possible when the defensive play maker becomes available.
