Due to personal reasons, I will be leaving GLB on Day 40. Dubai Lightning will continue on as they will be moving to AAA next season. Obviously, we would have liked to have done better this past season, and although we tried real hard, we just couldn't get over the hump.
I would like to thank my competitors, past and present, for being here to make it a great new experience. I had a blast playing for the 7 seasons I've been here, and really enjoyed the rivalries, especially against Prague. Although we never did beat them, Randy has always been fair in his assessment of the league in his great write-ups and has done a lot of good things to make this league as competitive as it is right now. Kudos to Randy!
Now to get somethings off my chest before I go.
You've not heard much from me on the forums for the last couple of seasons, but I have read them and I must say that some of the things some of you come up with is mind boggling. You guys can write a lot of words and have the uncanny ability to say absolutely nothing. I've had some recruits actually turn down coming to my team, because of some of the comments they read in our League Forum, saying things like 'stupid, retarded, idiots' etc etc. Some of you have no clue about respect, or sportsmanship or discipline in your comments to or about someone else. Those of you that abuse the power of words towards others literally needs your asses kicked!
I'm probably one of the older players in GLB (57 yrs. old), a Viet Nam Veteran, former Marine and a lover of football and sports in general, and I've been around enough to have learned that each of us are in this place together, and like it or not, we're all one, like brothers and sisters. No, we don't have to like each other but we do need to respect each other, weather it's in words or actions.
Sadly, one of the things I won't miss is our League Forum, as it is now. Try to make it fun for everyone once again.
Good Luck to All,
RESPECTFULLY,
Kenchi
