I DC the Boomtown 89ers. We've had an effective defense all season, but got blown out large against the first place team. We play them in our second round playoff game, basically outmatched everywhere. Not sure if this is allowed, but if anyone has any suggestions on what we might be able to do to shutdown the opposing team offense, I'd gladly accept the advice!

Here's the link to our match-up...

Yikes! Might want to send some hookers and beer to the opposing players the night before the game.

I'd run the ball a lot and try to shorten the game, and pray to the turnover gods for a lucky break or two. They have allowed 4.68 ypc up the middle, so I'd attack there. When you do pass, move the TE to the left side and keep him in to block. I'd keep the backs in to block too.

Good luck.

The effect of this being the TE automatically doubles with the LT on the DE? not seen this (in glb).

Hopefully.

In the last match up between these 2, Boomtown gave up 9 sacks. The RDE got 4 and hopefully the TE can help out. They also got 3 sacks with a blitzing CB and hopefully the backs can pick this up.

You're screwed due to the lower level make-up of your team. Not lower level than your opponent, but lower in general. Your guys won't be complete defenders to potentially stop guys 4-6 levels higher until their mid 30s in most cases. You need soft-caps and some double-caps at your primary spots, and I'm sure there are a lot of holes in your builds.

In short, there is just about nothing you can do to win this game, other than luck or the other team being stupid. If you keep it within 30, you're probably fortunate.

Nevermind, saw this is old and you lost by 63. Way to get that TD on them though!
