I am making a Possession Receiver and I'm not 100% sure on what equipment to give him.

At the moment I have all of my equipment in Speed except for 1 piece in Agility and a piece of Advanced Equipment (which will probably be sold for something better).

Also, I am about to buy some Custom Equipment. I was going to buy the Possession Tree but I wasn't sure what skill to allocate the 6 points to.

Thoughts?

What do you want your guy to look like in terms of the following at level 40:

Speed?
Agility?
Catching?

If you wanted 90 speed and 60 catching/agility then it would make sense to get your speed to 70 and put 20 equipment into speed to get to 90.

If you wanted 80 speed, agility, and 60 catching then I would recommend getting speed and agility to 70 and putting 10 points of equipment into each. The higher you go in an attribute, the more SP spent, therefore the best return on equipment is that which goes on the highest attribute as it will give you the best return and allow you to invest your skill points in a different attribute at a much better SP ratio.

Edit:
fixed some numbers that were nonsensical. i need to start proof reading my posts better.

That is the best way to do it imo. At level 40 you will have 30 equipment points, decide what you want your build to look like at lvl 40 and use your equipment accordingly.

What is the best split for a possession receiver? I was thinking 80 Speed, 80 Agility, 60 Catching but this is my first WR so I'm still very much learning.

Since he's a Possession WR, should his Speed be lower (65-70 maybe?) and go for 90 Agility and 70-75 Catching instead?

I'd take Speed, agility and catching to 68, split EQ in speed/catching, max out soft hands, track star and quick.
IMHO:
Catching=possession
agility=elusive
speed=speedster

If you are taking agility to 90, you would probably want the speedster SAs for HF, Juke and that isn't what makes a possession WR.

I've been experimenting with a possession WR with all his EQ in catching which is now at 85. Results this season are inconclusive as he's been playing at 3, 4 or 5 in the DC but he hasn't dropped a catch all season and has 28 receptions for 308 yards.
