Warrior General Games

As some of you may already know, I do seasonal work. Basically I work like a dog for a couple months, and then get a bunch of time off. I'm starting work tomorrow and will be extremely busy until middle of April. My free time is going to be very limited, and I won't get any days off until it's all over. As a result, I won't be able to do my game picks until the work season ends. I might jump in for a week or two here or there if I feel like it and time permits, but don't hold me to it - I can't promise anything during this time period.

There are some great writers in SEA Pro, so hopefully some of them will step up to fill the gap. The more the merrier, it's always good to read different folks' perspectives.

Ho Chi Mean Hot Mamas at Louisiana Screaming Pelicans:
It doesn't get much better than this. The #1 seed Hot Mamas on the road against the #3 seed Screaming Pelicans. Will be a great game watched by many and will determine the course of the Garuda playoffs and also the GLB Top 25 Rankings. I'd bet on LSP winning in a series, but the Hot Mamas would not go down winless. It's just one game however, and a huge victory is up for grabs. SCREAMING PELICANS by 7

Bangkok Tweetys at Port Moresby:
Shield your eyes, this is going to be a bloody massacre. TWEETYS by 35.

Hong Kong Highlanders at Singapore Bulls:
Couple of Garuda division heavyweights go toe to toe here. The Bulls have a slightly better record, but I find it unlikely that HKH will have a 3 game losing streak this season. Hong Kong will dig deep and find a way to win. HIGHLANDERS by 10

South Austin Bats at Taiwan Blood Pandas:
This is a must win for the bats as their chances to secure a playoff spot are quickly dwindling to zero. TBP strikes fear into teams everywhere, but they seem somewhat diminished this season. Blood Pandas are the favorites, but I think South Austin wants it more. BATS by 3

Hong Kong Hustlers at Yokohama Yaks:
In another fight for playoff spots, the Hustlers desperately need to win this one. Yaks have had a good year and posted up wins against some good teams, but Hong Kong strikes me as the team with more pluck. Combine that with a helping of luck, and HKH will be sitting pretty. HUSTLERS by 6

Colorado Tombstones at Semarang Red Bulls:
Semarang will win this won easily, but they'll need to win next week against the Bats to maximize their chances of making the postseason. RED BULLS by 35

4077th M*A*S*H at Manila Warlords:
Manila is the penultimate stop on the 4077th season 7 relegation tour. Enjoy the party, guys. WARLORDS by 28

Singapore Flames at Awendaw ToadFish:
It's been a frustrating season for these two AAA#1 rivals. Expect them to take it out on each other. I think Singapore has a superior squad, and it should show here. FLAMES by 17

Wow Pandas. Great job and props to your defense. You really shut down our running game, and holding our QB to 13/30 is pretty fucking impressive.

We gotta figure out why our receivers can't catch shit here lately. A defensive back within 5 yards of our receivers pretty much guarantees an incompletion. Conversely, we can have a receiver blanketed yet the catch is still made. We just can't seem to figure out what the magic attribute is this season. I guess I should say "fuck it" because I'm sure whatever it is will change next season.

6-2 this week. Congrats to Yaks and Blood Pandas for proving me wrong.

Good game and I appreciate the sportsmanship Bats! Some people still haven't figured out that standard gaming etiquette requires that the loser say GG first. Glad to see some people here got it down

They played a great game. Don't want to take anything away from them.

Anything negative I said is about my own team. We have issues, specifically in our passing game (ranked 24th) and in pass defense (ranked 27th). The shame is that these issues arose in season 7. We had no such issues previously and we aren't sure how to fix them for season 8. Just frustrated is all.
