Elusive rushing sucks now even for elusive backs. What makes you think "super elusive" will be worthwhile, or that it will even work?
IMO, Bort should try fixing elusive rushing before implementing this crap.
It isn't that elusive backs suck, its that the elusive settings suck. Nothing wrong with having really high speed and agility, but you still need to play on combo to keep from moving side to side too much.
I thought that was what I implied with my posts. Unfortunately to really use elusive SA's you need some lateral movement. I wish elusive style was working so I could fully take advantage of being an elusive back. Beyond that, most of our players are really playing like speed backs.
Honestly, I find it to be working a LOT better this season that it has before.
I have a Level 34 RB that is very Elusive SA focused, which I've been really disappointed with because I haven't been able to run on Elusive with any success at all. But this season, I tried Elusive again and I was actually really impressed. There is no more hesitation with the Elusive setting, like there was in previous seasons. He still hits the hole like on Combo, but is much more likely to make someone miss in the open field.
He does have capped Vision, so that might be making a difference, but it's hard to say.
You can shoot me a PM if you need any specifics about his build, or whatever.
Mostly what I've seen from elusive backs this season is a lot of bouncing back and forth after they make it through the line. IMO they seem to be spending more time deciding to go left or right than they seem to be going down field. I have a few examples I could shot if you don't know what I mean.
They need to make slider adjustments to a little less elusive is all.
Elusive running should be at a point where we don't have to do that before they add "super elusive".
