I like Short ,medium and Long.
Actually really depends on your personnel. What works for one team, sucks for another. Look at your game film. All of your answers lie within the moving dots. Take note of what has worked, build your playbook around that, not what you see posted in the forums.

I think that's the only answer. Spend time, keep a log, and figure out which plays always fall short. Ones that end up getting big yardage, stick them in AI so they are called more frequently. Before long you'll have culled the playbook in 1/2, and have money 3rd down plays as well as 1st and 2nd down plays that get you consistent first downs.

Or you could learn all the plays that way when you scout you can pull them out of the closet against certain defenses with no doubts.
