I've soft capped strength and blocking, now working on vision and agility. I'm going to be buying custom equipment and regular equipment, and I'm wondering where I should spread all the SP around.

Should I put it all in blocking? Agility? Strength? Some combination of two or three?

I was leaning towards putting it all in blocking or going 50/50 between strength and blocking.

Give us an idea of where you are at now. So we can better judge where they should go.

My custom is +6 strength. Strength, to me, is more helpful as it can help blocking, but also help in the case you do get the ball to be able to out muscle the defender and maybe gain a few extra yards. Blocking is only useful for, well... blocking.

He really STRICTLY has to be a blocker. I'm doing a combo build with another TE, one is going to strictly be a TE1 (all receiving) and the other will be a TE2 (all blocking).

So really he should be built like an OT, but I know some people think TEs block differently than OTs and may need more agility and less strength/blocking.

The difference is who they're blocking. OTs will come up mainly against Linemand. TEs against LBs and Safeties and they often don't automatically run into you. You need more spd and agility in order to get to the block. Build him just like an OT and the Linebacker will just go round you. LBs and Safeties usually also have much less strength than Lineman so you can afford to have less strength on the TE.

I was going to softcap vision before focusing on speed/agility. Any thoughts?

That's what I did.

Was it worth it? Maybe. Does it help? Yeah, I like to think it does. Don't really have anything to make a comparison with, though.

I would always cap speed agility first. What good is a TE that can see everyone that he needs to block but can't get there in time, or gets to his block in the hole.

Yeah but he gets .5 for each level of vision and what - .17 for each level of speed/agility?

You might be right though. Been training agility/vision.

I would never cap speed or agility first for any TE. There's too much to be lost taking that route.

Or you could save yourself the 100 flex point and make a OT.

speed and agility are more important to this than you think...

unless your opponent is run blitzing all the time, you need to be able to get upfield in time to help your HB... especially if he's blazing fast

Sure they're important. Worth capping first? No, not by a longshot.
