Gonna create a LB, what is a good creation roll. I know you want 8's in throwing, carrying, kicking, punting, and the max roll for speed is 10. So what do you want in the other attributes

also look for height, 6'2" or taller. its not a stat exactly, but very useful to look at. from what i hear it affects vision and maybe things like swat ball with longer arms.
i don't think the max roll for speed is 10, unless you meant +10 to the starting 10. i've never seen a starting speed roll higher than 16, but if it can get to 20 that's awesome. and because you'll naturally gain enough over time, i would look at things like stamina. if it is around 10 or 11, that means the more useful stats are probably higher (sp/ag/viz/str/tk). The rest of it depends on the type of lb you want (mlb or olb).

Speed's a minor, so its stuck at 10.
For rolls, I just focus on the 8s. You want points in everything else, anyway.

go for a high number in the stat you intend to cap first, for me agility -- also look for a low number in stamina, you'd rather have the pts in vision or tackling at the start

this kinda doesnt matter in the long run. if your starting stamina is low (10 or 11) you need to put your cheap starting equipment into stamina at level 1 or 2 (its only a +4 bonus) so you can maintain play time or energy for the xp. obviously later on you'll switch out the equipment for the stats you need. but if you start out with a mid to high stamina (14 or 15) you can start out with equipment in better stats (say your speed or agility that is 13 or 14 and teh eq makes it a 17 or 18) . and since the eq bonuses dont effect training percentages the initial gains are larger if your main stats arent really high.
the reason it doesnt really matter is that the gains are nominal. you will still start out with a 17 or 18 in a main stat and you will still start out with a 14 or 15 in stamina, its just based on lvl 1 equipment. you might get to soft cap the main stat 1 day earlier than normal, but other wise its not a big deal. and you wont need to sell/rebuy equipment later, which also isnt a big deal. the important stuff is finding four 8s in the useless stats (k/p/thr/bl). and i look for things like height and weight based on position. they do have an impact on the game.
