This forum needs a few locked stickies. An FAQ, a description of each kind of LB (RO, LO ILB, MLB), a dedicated AE sticky, and maybe a slow build sticky. They should be locked and considered 'general knowledge'. It might cut down on the 'is this any good?' or 'what do i do now?' posts. Also, in the FAQ, a few links to the GLBWiki pages on general knowledge would help to save a few clicks for info like upgrade costs, AE requirements, etc.

Just a suggestion for anyone who wants to pony up and start one. I might work on one of em if i feel like tackling an issue, but there are others out there more qualified to do this than me.

no one will probably agree with anything, anyone wrote about linebackers.

A sticky would be good...if we could agree on how to build a linebacker. We can't, because there are so many different types of builds, so many ways to be successful, and so many different things people want to do with their LB.

This isn't a simple position like QB, O-line, or P/K.

I think we all agree on Speed and Agility being the important building blocks to the first cap right? Its just preference on which one you choose to build first.

I dont mean that these should be explanations of cookie cutter builds. I don't think it should be numbers specific at all. Something like typically (emphasis on the 'typically') the LOLB covers the TE and the HB, ROLBs pass rush, etc. but an acknowledgment that there are other possible roles for each type of LB. It shouldn't be a lecture on how everyone should play their dude (which is what happens in the regular threads). This is just general info, very basic explanations of a player's role on a team.

An AE sticky would be a list of the possible non LB SAs that even can be used, not necessarily ranked or recommended and maybe a link to the GLBWiki AE page..

And a slow build sticky, now that I think about it, is probably not doable as it would require some numbers specific info, but a general guideline would still be useful even if some didnt agree with it. And the FAQ would be where the GLBWiki links would be.

Basically these would be pages where people who don't wanna troll through 18 pages of bickering could get some info, thus the locking of the threads. That's all. 100% agreement isn't required for it to be stickied and locked.

OOOOOh can we put in something saying "No, that +3 FF%, +1 Big Hit" AE won't do you much good unless you already force fumbles?
