High Speed + High TV + High First step + Good Vision = best way to get sacks this season
either you completely avoid the OT or you get locked up the whole play

I don't have high speed or high first step, or good vision, and My guy gets multiples against equal competition.

What is considered good stats against = lvl competition at level 40+?

Assuming most OTs have fixed their builds you really shouldn't expect more than 1 - 1.5 per game.

Now if you play gutted or inferior teams that number should go up. You should not only throw out the sacks for determining how the player is doing, but the games they came in as well.

So if a player has 6 sacks in 5 games against quality opponents and 14 sacks in 5 games against inferior opponents; you look at it as 6 sacks in 5 games or 1.2 sacks per game against quality opponents. That is excellent production.

No matter what was "nerf" or "fixed" the winning formula pretty much stays the same for lvl 40s DE

1) Get Agility and Speed to be at least 80+, prefereably 90-100
2) Get a base strength of 55-65
3) Your Stamina, yes Stamina, needs to be at least 45, preferably 50.
4) Vision at least 40 but not too much after that, this one is overrated and more rumor then substance about their effectiveness.
5) SA, SA, SA,. First Step at least 7, Tunnel Vision at least 10. Don't waste any on Big Sack. Shed Block is still not effective for much investment, Change of Direction is really only effective against HBs running outside route.

I've been DC for 4 years and I've seem DE with similar builds but one produce like Michael Strahan another produces like a wannabe and I notice the major differences are Stamina, First Step SA, and Tunnel Vision SA.

Remember you will not play at high level throughout the game if your DE is easily tired.

I'm in the same school of thought on that. 30's is enough confidence but I've been pushing my DE's vision ever closer to 60.

I would like to get 1 sack against even OT a game. Most of mine come from gutted teams.

My DT has 15.79 confidence and I feel like he does fine (I know this thread isn't about DTs, just figured I'd give an example).

I've seen DE with

89 strength
75 agility
61 speed

get 6 sacks in 10 games against even level competition (lvl 40+)

I've seen DE with

98 agility
64 strength
61 speed

do the same

The speed DEs still seem to be doing better though.

This is the most consistent DE I have seen this season. I don't know what his build is though

This DE is also doing good

Ummm Horse face is dominating our league right now and he's outleveled. Sure he racks up big #'2 vs gutted, but he has a sack in almost every game.

+ I just boosted to 31, but haven't even spent those SP's yet Sitting on 21 SP's right now
