I'm lvl 37, got a piece with +2% change to force fumble.

I have 50 str, 50 tackling, usually go balanced tackling, have 9 Monster hit SA, and 10 power tackling VA.

Would it be good to upgrade that piece or go shopping again to find something with force fumble on it plus a stat?

Or possibly monster hit SA plus stat?

dump, any hopes of causing Fumble this yr is useless.
I'm guessing your talking about this player: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=472113
over 70 tackles and only 1 FF... seems like a waste.

If you really want to upgrade it in hopes that when its ready Fumbles will be more fequent then you can do that. Also, you should build up ur strength w/ 9 in monster and 10 in that VA

Yeah, its that player.

I'm also working on the sure tackler VA to get 2nd rolls on tackles, hoping eventually I can take tackling to power tackling instead of balanced.

I only have 1 in that one so far.

I don't understand the infatuation with trying to force fumbles. Even with the sim imbalances this season limiting fumbling DRAMATICALLY this season on HB's, forcing fumbles is like a four-leaf clover: you know it's out there, and you'll see it occasionally but if you look for it you'll be out there a looooooooooong time.

Because fumbles and int's is the defenses way to change the game.

The best defenses in the NFL like the Ravens and Steelers create turnovers and get their offense back on the field.

I know the sim got changed, so I'm changing my player/building him to adjust to the SIM to go back to causing fumbles.

But its an incredibly rare event. Even in the NFL, the top guys force 5, maybe 6 fumbles per season, and a few of those are always on QBs. And even if you force 6 fumbles, 3 of those will be recovered by the offense. So you're tailoring your build to something that is going to help you 3 times in the season, instead of getting an AE that will help you make more plays.

First step, closing speed, quick cut, super vision will all help you stop the running back sooner.
First step, quick cut, super vision, shutdown coverage, will all help you cover the TE and RB.
First step, blitz, and tunnel vision will all help you get the QB.

And all of those will be useful on more than 5 plays per season if you're DC uses you properly.

Well, INT's are a 100% chance for a guaranteed turnover.... but go ahead, tell me the % chance that your defense will recover the fumble. I don't mind waiting.

And remember this isn't the NFL.

well, with FFs Bort has stated that forced fumbles are lower than they should be (Check the Bort Stalker) and this due to the fact that many people are not working on tackling. If I remember right, around 70 in tackling should allow for a good amount of FFs. Probably due to the fact that you can play on power tackling with the tackling ability so high.
