Last game - Defeated Pushovers 255-0

Nothing to see here this week. Nothing to see here next week. In two weeks...the Shockers come calling.

2. Cincinnati Shockers (7-1)
Prev. - same
Last game - Defeated DDL 31-17

The running game made the difference for the Shockers vs. DDL. Shockers are solid on both sides of the ball and get the very dangerous Rage before a 1 vs. 2 meeting with the Maulers.

3. ***O*** (7-1)
Prev. - same
Last game - Defeated Termites 255-0

Took out their frustrations of last week on the hapless Termites.

4. Washington Bullets (6-2)
Prev. - 6 (+2)
Last game - Defeated Elvis 27-21

Saw something in Elvis' run coverage that led to their victory today. Should continue their winning ways vs. the Continentals next week.

5. Orlando Pirates (6-2)
Prev. - 4 (-1)
Last game - Lost to RIRW 37-34

Ran into the Red Wolves at the wrong time. Solid offensive performance but they couldn't stop the Wolves' passing attack when they needed to. The Gamblers next week are another dangerous team, and then two powerhouses that could drop the Pirates further down the standings.

6. Las Vegas Flyin' Elvises (6-2)
Prev. - 6 (-1)
Last game - Lost to Bullets 21-27

This team is an enigma. Sometimes they look unstoppable, other times, stoppable. Would have probably preferred a win going into **O** next week, but it's look like two losses in a row for Elvis.

7. Kalamazoo Coyotes (5-3)
Prev. - 8 (+1)
Last game - Defeated MadCats 49-26

Solid win vs. MadCats. Kzoo is holding tough to its playoff spot and has a tough battle vs. RIRW next week in a game that could effect playoff standings by the end of the season.

8. Rhode Island Red Wolves (4-4)
Prev. - 8 (+1)
Last game - Defeated Pirates 37-34

It was only a matter of time before the Wolves took down one of the conference leaders. Their kicker made up for his XP miss last season by booting a 57 yarder in this one, and going perfect for the game. Huge game with Kzoo next week.

9. Detroit Demon Lions (4-4)
Prev. - 7 (-2)
Last game - Lost to Shockers 17-31

DDL continues its up and down season with a loss to the Shockers. Fortunately, they have a very favorable schedule the rest of the way and should find their way into the playoffs, but it may be a short stay.

10. Gridiron Rage (4-4)
Prev. - 10 (same)
Last game - Defeated Sin 143-0

Begins a brutal three game stretch starting next week that will prove this team's character.

11. Las Vegas Gamblers (3-5)
Prev. - 11 (same)
Last game - Defeated Continentals 40-14

Held the hungry Continentals at bay with a very solid balanced offensive attack. The Pirates are up next in the battle for Treasure Island.

12. Philadelphia Continentals (1-7)
Prev. - same
Last game - Lost to Gamblers 14-40

A disappointing season continues for the Continentals as they give up 40 for the second straight week. The schedule doesn't get any easier the next two weeks.

Anyone want to beat us, I'm telling you now.....trade for a powerback and run him all game long. Elusive won't do it, just ask OJ - even he got caught up in the season 7 changes here in Vegas.

You can mark that game against GB down as our 1st loss now. The Shockers & GB have a long history of ruining the other's season. Whoever has the better record always seems to lose, and one of us always seem to be the one that knocks the other out of the POs. Goes all the way back to season 2 when we ruined their undefeated season and then gave them a heart breaker in the POs. Seems like we've just taken turns every time we've been in the same league since. It's both of our blessing and curse.
