http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1100608

This is my first player, and I know I haven't built him optimally to this point.
2 points spent in SA's right off the bat. Too much distribution and not enough focus on getting the top skills to the softcap asap. Skipped intense training more times than I should have.

I'm just wondering if it's a lost cause, or if I should continue.

I'd intended to build a possession receiver, and since his catching is higher than his agility right now I was going to try and get it to the first cap then work the agility up.
Since he's only level 9, that's not as important as trying to figure out if he's worth keeping or if I should start a new player with a better initial roll and better training strategy right off the bat.

Thanks for any advice!

Plenty of hope, he just wont be that effective until a few levels of build corrections

You soft capped speed which is great, next you should soft cap agility, then catching, then vision

My advice is to put all equipment into speed.

Intense train agility/vision until you have enough points to soft cap agility, then intense train catching/vision until you have enough points to softcap catching...then intense train jumping/vision until you can soft cap vision and then from there its how you want to take it.

Should be successful by level 15-16

It's not totally a lost cause. He hasn't been built great thus far, but he's still low leveled enough he can be saved. I'm assuming speed is softcapped, but I can't tell cuz of eq. If it isn't, finish capping it. If it is, I would do agility next, then catching. Then 2nd cap speed, agility, catching. Train yourself some stamina, jumping, vision, carrying, confidence, and some strength. That will keep you busy for a while. I think 60/60/60 is a good base for any receiver, from there you can decide if you want to go the speedster or possession route. Also, get your eq all into one or two main attributes once you get signed to a real team that can pay for it with the eq fund. Speed and maybe some agility for a speedster, catching/agility for a possession.
