Agility:29.65
Jumping:14.65
Stamina:37.3
Vision:62.22
Confidence:41.3

Blocking:10
Tackling:10
Throwing:81.95
Catching:14.65
Carrying:14.65
Kicking:8
Punting:10

I have no natural points in SA, but my CE is in the pocket passer tree. My VA is 5 in Scrambler (10% Break Sack chance).

Tactics
Play Intensity: Hard
Scramble: Almost never
Dump Pass: Only on plays that specifically call for it
Passing Style: Medium
Long Passes: No
Throw Away: Aggressive
No Passing Targets

I split time with another passer right now. My question is why can my QB have a 104 rating this season throwing 10 TDs and no picks, but only complete 41% of passes? Is this build related?

No, TDs play a huge part in a QB rating, and you have really Y/A for 41.1% lol

I know TDs play a large part in the rating. but I don't get how he's able to fling TDs like it's his job and avoid throwing any picks, yet he can't seem to complete a normal number of passes. At 41%, I would expect there to be plenty more INTs in there.

You are getting 35.1 of your QB rating points from the TDs and the maximum 39.583 from no INTs. That makes up for only getting 9.21 points from completion percentage. The other 20 points obviously came from the only other factor, yards per attempt. That adds up to 103.893, keep in mind the above numbers are not all exact I did some rounding and the maximum value is actually 39.5833 repeating.

Bort uses the NFL formula.

You are not getting INTs because your WRs get single coverage a lot as good defenses stack the box against your RBs (that both average over 9.5 per carry) instead of worrying about the pass because the completion percentage is low. I'd rather a team with a completion rate of 35-40% try to beat me through the air and focus my defense on the running attack that produces much more consistently.

Softcap strength, set dump off pass to Often...

Hmm, maybe aggressively throwing away passes has something to do with it? Those are certain to not be caught. That would increase your rate of caught balls and is fairly obvious that it will because it forces more balls towards your WRs and the defense.

I think you're looking at it the opposite way it's intended - Aggressive's description is to only throw it away if everyone is heavily covered, where as Conservative's is throw it away quickly. I don't recall a replay this season where I've seen him throw anything away.

My QB happens to play in 5 minutes, and I've made a few changes for the sake of experimentation.

I boosted him one time, and put one point into the first SA and then two into Tight Spiral. I also had AE that I was holding onto that was naturally +1 Tight Spiral, and has been upgraded once for +1 throwing, which I've now put on the player bringing his Tight Spiral from 1 to 4, but decreasing throwing from 82 to 79. I'll report back the results as well as my next step based on the completion percentage.

For the purpose of comparison, I'm going to show the completion percentage of my QB next to that of the guy I split time with, so we can use that to draw some type of conclusion (ie. if his percentage changed this game, mine changing would be more coincidence than anything).

Him/Me
2: 41.7/33.3
3: 56.3/60
4: 47.4/35.7
5: 53.8/36.8
6: 65/40
7: 52/53.3

As you see, he'saveraged 52.7% through 6 games and nailed that average this game. My QB has averaged 43.1% through 6 games and beat that by 10% this game.

I don't feel it's conclusive, but I do feel it's definately a step towards a conclusion.

I just leveled up with this game so I have 7 SP to use right now, but I'm leaning towards holding onto them and seeing if the next game yields similar results before I use those and the rest of my boosts.

Thoughts?

Oh i was just making a joke because I don't care for the opposite-style titles. I have a QB too, so I have read the descriptions. I also choose to throw the ball away conservatively by setting him on aggressive.
