Curls Left (Single Back) - HB kept in to block and WR1 maybe on creative route running

yeah, I was afraid of that. I have my HB set to 100% route run, yet I noticed several times he stayed back to block. Any ideas on this?

I'm the OC. I'm telling you I have the HB set to run routes, not block, yet on several plays he stayed back and blocked.
