1. ***O*** (5-0)
Prev. - 2 (+1)
Last game - Defeated Shockers 26-24

Very impressive close victory over the previously undefeated Shockers. O is for real and looks forward to cementing it's hold on the top spot vs. the Maulers in two games.

2. Orlando Pirates (5-0)
Prev. - 4 (+2)
Last game - Defeated DDL 57-31

The Pirates sure know how to make a guy eat crow. Very impressive win vs. DDL, folks these guys are for real and have a very favorable next four games.

3. Green Bay Maulers(5-0)
Prev. - 3 (same)
Last game - Defeated Gamblers 38-20

I'm still waiting for the Maulers to unload on people like Boston used to. Gamblers are a quality opponent, and this is a quality win. Have the Bullets and O coming up in the next two games, which will really test this team.

4. Cincinnati Shockers (4-1)
Prev. - 1 (-3)
Last game - Lost to O 24-26

Hard fought lost to O drops them from the top spot. Should be 7-1 going into their game with the Maulers.

5. Las Vegas Flyin' Elvises (4-1)
Prev. - 5 (same)
Last game - Madcats 94-13

A little less conversation and little more winning.

6. Washington Bullets (4-1)
Prev. - 6 (same)
Last game - Defeated Rage 35-34

Bullets used their running game to slip by the Rage. A good team, has a chance to be great vs. the Maulers next game.

7. Kalamazoo Coyotes (3-2)
Prev. - 7 (same)
Last game - Defeated Continentals 35-10

Very strong showing vs. the improved Continentals, with Jones Drew rushing for almost 250 yards. Will get to show everyone they are really back vs. the #2 team Pirates next game.

8. Detroit Demon Lions (2-3)
Prev. - 7 (-1)
Last game - Lost to Pirates 31-57

I've been a defender of DDL this season, but that position is getting harder to maintain. The loses of Manning's players has really hurt this team, they are not the same. Case in point - 0 sacks and only 1 hurry vs. the Pirates. A much needed CPU game next week should help DDL regroup.

9. Rhode Island Red Wolves (2-3)
Prev. - 11 (+2)
Last game - Defeated Termites 156-0

A much needed CPU victory after playing three of the best teams in conference in their first four games. A game vs. Elvis awaits.

10. Gridiron Rage (2-3)
Prev. - 9 (-1)
Last game - Lost to Bullets 34-35

The Rage are the ultimate bridesmaids. Tons of talent, but cannot close out close games. The Rage have another tough test next week before two gutjobs.

11. Las Vegas Gamblers (1-4)
Prev. - 10 (-1)
Last game - Lost to Maulers 20-38

The Gamblers are much better than their record, but their strength is in their defense. If they can get their offense to match, they might make a playoff run. If not, it's going to continue to be a long season for them.

12. Kentucky Madcats (1-4)
Prev. - 12 (same)
Last game - Lost to Elvis 13-94

A real "yikes" loss vs. Elvis. There are not too many winable games left on KY's schedule this season.

The Rest

13. Philadelphia Continentals
14. Philadelphia Pushovers
15. Doomsday Sin
16. Arizona Termites

Nice work. I'd put Orlando at #1 right now but OFG had a very nice win this week so I can't really hate on them either.

Not yet. I still think O's wins are a bit more impressive, but Orlando is well deserving of #2. However, they can take care of business themselves and be firmly #1 vs. O.

I appreciate the sentiment but OMFG beat the shockers. There is nothing easy about that and I think they are rightly placed in first for it.

I hate to say it, but it doesn't look like we've improved at all despite upgrading 15 positions. The people we brought in were also about five levels lower than the league average, so the gap between us and the rest of the league effectively doubled with the addition of veteran XP and possibly tripled with the addition of fame (since our players have much less fame than most others in the league). We were outleveled last season and I thought we could fix it by bringing excellent builds on. Now we're just more outleveled.

As dedicated as the people on our team are and as hard as we're trying, we're going nowhere without a significant infusion of good Level 48 builds - and those people are going elsewhere. And I can understand that, because time is short and such people want to play for a contender.

It hurts.

PS. Carnage, don't ever, ever change your avatar. Thanks.

12th - don't despair. You are doing the right things. And I don't think you are all that outleveled. I don't see too much level difference between you and the Pirates or Elvis, teams that are clearly playoff contenders. Keep working with AI, using VP to your advantage, and good things will come.

I think it's a toss up between the top 4 teams. Anyone could beat anyone depending on who the sim likes that hour.

Luckily, sim is on our team, and is #1 in pancakes - BOOYAAAA
