what the title said
Phuket All (0-4) vs. Chaiyaphum Gothic (1-3)--The Gothic pick up an victory in the bye week as a reward for the Seamen upset. I'm sure their OC will have a tough time deciding whether they should run or pass for more yards/TDs. Gothic by 170
Bangkok Seamen (1-3) vs. Lost City Idols (2-2)--What the hell happened to Bangkok?? They are in danger of missing the playoffs if they don't wake up soon..These teams only common opponent is the Gothic who Lost City killed and Bangkok lost to. Bangkok has 2 other tough losses to Semarang and Manila and a close win over PDP. Lost City is playing well but losing the close ones, the ones they need to win for a playoff berth in their first Pro season..Never thought I'd say these words about them but..UPSET SPECIAL, Bangkok by 3
Bandar Lampung Pigskin Pirates (4-0) vs. Portland Dirty Penguins (1-3)--I know its needless nitpicking but Bandar hasnt beaten teams by as much as they should. Only beat Port Moresby by 17 and failed to destroy Macau or Tokyo by as mucb as you'd think. I told you I was nitpicking. PDP hasnt beaten anyone except Auto Win (Phuket All) and although they've kept it close against Singapore/Bangkok I am forecasting some slain Penguins tomorrow. Bandar by 21
East St Louis Tire Fires (4-0) vs. Macau Gamblers (1-3)--Macau would be set up for relegation if it werent for Tokyo/Phuket and needs some major upgrades to avoid that occuring next season. They destroyed Phuket but so could a JV middle school team. ESL is being talked about as a legit top 5 team in GLB in the rankings forum. You do the math. ESL by 70
P-Funk Allstars(3-1) vs. Duluth Bulldogs (3=1)--Both teams have started off stronger than the more-hyped Lost City Idols with both teams having quality wins. Duluth has won by 1 and 2 points over Lost City and Krungthep respectively. P-Funk has looked down right ridiculous in shellackings of South Austin, Krungthep and Kamakura and their only loss was to ESL and they kept it semi-close. Duluth got stomped by a much less talented (than ESL) Tweetys team. I dont like picking against papaschnay, bhall and Co. but with the way P-Funk is playing, I gotta go with em. This game could go either way though. P-Funk by 10
Krungthep Garudas (1-3) vs. Tokyo Whalers (0-4)--The ironically named Garudas travel to Tokyo for a much needed recoup after 3 straight demoralizing losses, 2 of them by a combined 4 points. They want to be in the playoff conversation and to do that, they need to beat Pa Dong next week. They need to round into shape for that game with this one Garudas by 70
Kamakura Katanas (3-1} vs. Pa Dong Dragons {1-3)--I don't think the Katanas owner change went as seamlessly as originally hoped for as they only beat Krungthep by 2 and lost to P-Funk in their 2 real games (I do not consider Tokyo, Phuket All or the Tombstones to be real games). They are perhaps struggling a bit and it is a good sign to be 3-1 when not firing on all cylinders. Pa Dong is in the midst of a monster 6 game stretch. they are 0-3 so far but they played ESL tough and they just upgraded half their starting defense with players from USAPL's Pushovers. I'm feelin an upset?? Pa Dong by 3
GAME OF THE WEEK
Singapore Marauders (3-1)vs. Manila Hitmen (4-0)--Singapore has played very well all season even in their 7 point loss to Zeta power LSP. Manila has faced 3 good teams and Phuket. They beat Ho Chi, Lost City and Bangkok all by 6 or 7 points. So while they ARE winning and are successful, they are not really wowing me as both Bangkok/Lost City aren't impressing much. (Ho Chi was a good win however). This one could be another upset special, but I think LUN's gameplanning and builds coordination are $$$ so I just can't see them losing. This is the first of a BRUTAL 4 game stretch of Singapore, bandar, ESL and Kamakura for the Hitmen. Manila by 7
