The game I'm looking forward to is Atlanta...should be one for the Ocho record books!

We'll be coming. It's a big turn around this season for us, and while I'm still trying to overcome stadium issues, from previous bad owners, we have assembled a quality team.

Remember it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's all about the size of the fight in the dog!

Is there anything worse then finally getting a team and finding out the last owner was a douche bag that screwed you stadium and players?

Yeah it's a pain, especially when to stay competitive you need players in the mid 30's, and trying to fund salaries and equipment. They really need to give new owners in existing leagues additional starting cash in order to keep a balance in competition.

Your right there but i don't think anyone in the BBB 8 have had a team thats not been completely gutted or torn to shreds by the previous owner and gms.

True that. I took over the Rapids two seasons ago in A#4 after the Rapids were promoted from BBB#7. They didn't have a chance, went winless and I had no holdovers at all. Aside from that the tickets were sold at a cheap rate and were almost completely sold by the time the season had started.

We're finally starting to regain the prominence this team had when it was crowned the BBB#7 champs.

I was in a similar situation with my team. I think the hardest thing about owning a team is the recruiting. Some players want to join a team that are in the pros or others want extremely high contracts. But then sometimes you do find some really good players who understand the situation your in, they join the team and stick with you through the tough times.

You know, we could probably call this championship the '2nd Gen' Bowl! I got the team 3 seasons ago and after reading the last owners info, he tried exetremely hard but couldn't get any help. He did the right thing when he sold it, but I was looking for a capped team to learn with so it was a growing situation for me.

We were in the same boat. When we got the flag we had only 12 players on roster and 1.5 mill in the bank, no stadium upgrades at all. It was hard. We ended up raiding the D-Leauge of good build players who were willing to stick together through a few tough seasons. With a little help from other owners who were happy to give good advice, and the patience of our players, it only took 3 seasons to turn things around. I think the key is as an owner look after your players, dont promise anything you cant deliver.

i feel you all i just got my team end of season 5 nothing but CPU players and no stadium. being the competetive person i am i spent a ton of money last season just to get killed in the first round, and have spent a ton more cash so my stadium kinda sucks. lookin back on it i kinda wish i had done what port moody and bronx did but patience has never been a virtue of mine. hopefully il get lucky and get some playoff money this season and get this show on the road, although il admit right now i wouldnt mind waiting one more season to get promoted.

Honestly i dont know if any of us are ready for promotion just yet. Another season to get more seats before we go back to getting smashed would not hurt anyone

Yeah those guys in A#4 are beasts. Good thing we here at Holland Pinoy All Stars are taking it slowly and getting our builds better as the season progresses. We can't afford to make decisions hastily and try to go for a win now and hope for the best for tomorrow.

Great game Emmaus! It looked bad for us down 12-5 after 3 Qtrs. That was a defensive war! A game we were lucky to win.

Actually, we only need to build the 300 level seats and expand the level 200 corners and endzones...we're doing alright! I have a wiz of a finance guy so it has made it easy for me. I'm not patient either, and after our 1st round loss last season I hit the recruiting trail hard! I had some non-boosters on my team(not a bad thing...just prevents you from being uber competative) that I needed to replace. The defense is pretty much the same, the offense had a mjor overhaul!!

Gotta believe! I like Niagara's schedule here on out. We'll get over and make the post season.
