- The San Diego Invaders move up to #3 by virtue of a 58-15 win over the Seattle Soldiers and a Las Vegas Avengers loss.
- The Saratoga Thoroughbreds enter the top five for the first time at #4 after a narrow 48-45 victory over the Las Vegas Avengers, who drop from #3 to #6.
- The Chicago Highlanders return to the top five with a 20-14 win over the Phoenix City Warriors.

Thanks to an incredibly soft schedule for the first half of the season, the St. Louis Shockers are predicted to go 16-0 but are only at #9 in the power rankings. We probably won't find out which system is more accurate until the Week 8 meeting with Saratoga.
