In this play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=312383&pbp_id=1811962
What happened to my FS? Did i get faked or just lack of speed? Also, why is he spinning around like a idiot after the RB passed him by?
More importantly, what do I need to improve to avoid future embarrassment?
My current build is: (with equipment)
Strength: 30.51
Blocking: 16.06
Speed: 83.94
Tackling: 40.64
Agility: 60.72
Throwing: 9
Jumping: 36.74
Catching: 30.76
Stamina: 36.2
Carrying: 15.06
Vision: 66.94
Kicking: 8
Confidence: 24.88
Punting: 10
3 in change direction, 3 in supervision.
Would raising speed and agility help me?

You got juked. Speed wouldn't help. Agility, tackling, vision, diving tackle SA, change direction SA, supervision SA would all improve chances of this not happening again. My saftey makes a fair amount of diving tackles and i only have 2 invested in it.

It was probably more of a bug thing, more than anything.

What? No. The back used either headfake or juke. It happens sometimes. It's not like spin or powerthrough where it shows up on the playlog. It just looks like that. He got shook.

Yeah its not like the f.s. was running in circles after the play then ran off the wrong direction.

He got shook, probably fell down or something. It happens. Might be a pretty good back

How many time are you going to say that? It's clear as day he got shook. It's obvious he got shook. I have no doubt he got shook. Now why did the f.s. get up and start running towards the other side of the field?

I gotta admit that running towards the other side of the field like an idiot is strange.
Anyhow, so would higher vision & tackling decrease my chance of getting shaken off like that? (Although I think 67 vision is decent).
I just gotta hope that this is a rare occasion and don't happen anytime soon.

My saftey has high vision, good change direction, and superior vision and this happened to me last season as well. I just assumed bort had some weird thing where depending on a headfake/juke type thing, the defensive player could fall down, get spun around, get confused about where the runner is because of the juke and attempt to make the tackle in the wrong direction, etc.... As long as it doesn't happen often, i wouldn't worry too much about it. But yea, tackling probably wouldn't hurt as it could use a soft cap. Higher SAs like supervis, change dir, diving tackle, etc... may help too

Super Vision will help. That whole running around in circles is odd, does appear to be a bug on that part but it appears you got juked. Getting juked=lack of vision, getting super vision to lvl 5 will help out a lot.

Maybe it's confidence. Although I think the biggest attribute to not getting juked is agi.

He could have been tired and got juked. It happens. You shouldnt change your player cause you missed 1 tkl. It was ugly though

Juking, tackling, everything in this game is a formula. You could have a build with a combination of vision, agility, tackling and SA's that would let you tackle that guy 99% of the time when he tries to juke, but that was the 1% where his juke worked. Nothing is absolute, there is always a chance for something to happen in this game. All you can do is put the odds in your favor. The dice were rolled and you lost, c'est la vie
