From my understanding, this piece may not be as good as I initially thought, do you agree.

I am an Elusive Back, I rolled a +2 Agility +5% break tackle piece. Since this is multiplicative, say being an Elusive back I only have 20% chance to break a tackle (probably high, real high), that piece would only give me a +1% to break tackle.

Assuming that this is correct, this piece is not as good as I initially thought.

Is the VA slippery multiplicative or additive? That could influence my decision on both the equipment and VA choice.

I am not sure about the calculation. I guess it could be 21% (5% of 20) or 25% (5% of 100), but one thing is for sure ....you failed to account for fact that each time you upgrade equipment you will not only get to increase attribute by 1 XP, but also the % will increase by 2%.

I doubt it is the former calculation that you suggested, otherwise there would be very little reason to mess with these % based bonuses.
