Why not track star? With the rage on HB passes from the backfield, MLB coverage is big now. I can't imagine a better fit for a high level MLB than a maxed quick and track star. Maybe power tackler if you have 50-55 strength and a high monster hit.

Natural Leader. As the MLB you are in a position to really help out your teammates but if they don't need any help then pick something else.

I don't think you can go wrong with track star or quick if your base skill is high enough.

You're looking at him right now.

One forced fumble in today's game. Looking to up that next week.

I'm starting to think speed is useless for OLBs now, at least for my LOLB so far this season, 80+ speed/agility and 62 vision is getting him nowhere. And 55 str has me missing 30% of my attempted tackles

Agility is a LOT more important now. Bort has made some serious changes, agility and speend need to be even or else you're player is going to be super unbalanced.

Hasn't impacted my pro team. Both my ILBs have a 30 difference between speed and agility and they seem to be covering fine:

(even WRs)

Plus, all that speed allows them to hit the OL before they can block the DL in situations and cause plays like this:

My MLB will max Natural Leader and Clutch before hitting either Quick or Redzone Freak.

Wait, I don't get it. In the first two plays, the CB makes the play, and in the last one, the DT does.

Yea, I don't either. You're MLB got blown up on that last play. Agility was used to hit that gap with some acceleration though. And the first two plays the receiver doesn't do anything in their routes. That's where you need speed, to cover TEs on their long seam routes up the middle. Almost all of the receivers in GLB are still in that HIGH speed stage and are working on their Agility. So when they actually get Speed and Agility equal, you'll be left in the dust because they'll be coming out of their cuts nice and crisp.

i like the idea of the power tackle VA. i mean a LB gettin 5-10 tackles a game increases fumble chances by 20-30%, sounds awesome to me. tho i think track star and quick should still probably be prioritized over it, i think itd be interesting to see somebody with it maxed out. or, max out sure tackler and change your settings to balanced tackling so youre increasing fumbling in a different way.

I had originally used track star (15) and second wind (6) then rolled on the reset as i was unsure with all the changes this season.

That being said my guy is MLB and already has 9 Def General. After re-assessment and countless discussions I have gone back to what my gut told me to begin with.

Went with track star (13) and second wind (8), pretty much what i had. I wanted second wind as it gives me now a full+16 boost to energy in the 4th which means my MLB will be on the field more and be able to use the Def Gen SA more often and play better in the 4th. I see a lot of games lost in the 4th that shouldn't have been lost. To me that is important. My base speed is near 70 so i get a cool 8-9 pts added onto that and it will increase naturally.

I also want the speed to get where I need to be, whether it is a blitz or gang tackling, make no mistake speed is very important in this game.

Re tackling and strength, I can address this next season when i boost and the couple natural lvl during the season and the missed tackles should drop by a lot. I gained more with track star than I could boost so for me it works.
