Does Sure Hands not let you reroll deflections?

That's the million dollar question that people have been asking for the past 10 days. Bort won't answer.

I think it should otherwise it is not fair for WRs. We get these bonuses and all and Sure Hands that only helps the rare drops that occur, and we're up against CBs with a 75% chance to get a second roll every time they fail to deflect a pass.

Of course it works for deflections. The Anatomy of a Completion thread made that pretty obvious, I think. Defenders get the first crack at the pass, which is the stage of a pass when most deflections happen. Since you can still catch deflections, you can safely make the assumption that a a deflection just negatively modifies the receiver's catch roll... the severity probably is determined by how "good" of a roll the CB got. Either way, if the receiver fails the "catch" roll... Sure Hands gives you a chance to make it again. What it WONT do is allow you to catch balls where your receiver simply failed his "can I catch it" roll.

Sounds totally reasonable, and I wouldn't surprised if that is actually how it works..but....Bort specifically said it only works when your receiver gets his hands on the ball, he never delved into deflections. It is a very important distinction and he won't clarify it.

Bort said that defender gets first crack at the ball, then WR, then the defender again if the WR bobbles/drops it. My catch to drop ratio has been fairly consistent throughout my career as I have not put a great deal of emphasis on catching and instead playing the odds of big plays. I could count on 1 drop every 3 plays or so. This season I have yet to register a drop in 4 games, but felt like everything being thrown towards me was being PD. Looking at Bort's statement, I would be willing to bet that I am still dropping just as many balls as I did last season, but the CBs are deflecting them on their second chance, the part where my WR drops the ball and the defenders get another crack at it. That would explain why my drops have disappeared and my PDs incurred have gone up. In this case, Sure Hands might not work on "deflections", the first crack the defender has, but they might reduce drops and deflections by allowing your receiver to re-roll on his attempt before the defender has a second attempt to deflect you dropped ball.

1 drop every 3 plays? Or games? If you did mean 3 plays then that is horrible and your WR needs help.

I'm wondering if a WR would benefit from the Underdog ability.
Most teams play man to man and the ability to affect the vision of the guy covering you could be a real bonus in catching balls.
Any one try this yet?
Thanks
edit;
I guess as long as the wr is matched against higher level cb's it could work okay.

I meant every 3rd catches I'd have a drop which isn't that bad when you score a TD every 3rd catch.

I've been thinking of stacking up Awe-Inspiring which is the opposite (WR is more famous) cuz my WR has high fame for the leagues he will play in the future (non-booster = [ ). If your WR is much less famous than average, then I say go for it after maxing out other more important ones.

Safest bet is always to go with the % ones to your highest skill. Least you know exactly what you are getting with them. My speedster is +15 track star and +4 quick and will max quick before anything else. he has both speed and agility at 3rd cap.
