Last season my lv 20 punter averaged 36 and change. This season he apparently sucks. We just had a scrimmage game, he had four punts, all four he should have boomed straight downfield, every single one of them was less than 30 yards and was returned for 15-20 yards!!

Granted season 7 is one day. But if guys were averaging 50+ over a season last year and none averaged 50 for the first game this season, something's up.

just noticed something about that Season 6 board - the top two punters (and 5 of the top 10) were CPUs. Wow.

Averaged 41.5 last season and typically stuck 1 or 2 per game within the 5 for a Coffin Corner last season. In the first scrimmage, I had 5 punts for 46.6 yards (expected). Then, in the 2nd scrimmage and 1st regular season game I have averaged a whopping 34.5 on 20 punts. Obviously something changed in between the two scrimmages because I am not the only one this has happened to. I added 15SP then 5 in Soccer Star before the season started so I am pretty damn sure that my build is not the issue either:

There is no reason that a player in his 4th season should average 34.5 yards unless the build was completely jacked up. This time, they went too far with that new trajectory "Z" axis. Hang time is great and all but not when it goes straight into the friggin air. Can see alot of people retiring their Punters this season if this continues.

Yea, kinda like my kicker that was hitting mostly 60+ yards on kickoffs all of a sudden has kickoffs in the 50s and even as low as the mid/upper 40s.

My punter has been around since the end of season 1. After his first game his average is about what it was at the end of season 3. Add to that the fact that getting 4 punts in a game will get you 37 XP at higher levels and it looks like my guy is headed to early retirement.

Last game, 5 punts and 41XP. At least I got more XP than average yards

I am just ticked that I can make a 53 field goal, yet I can't kick it off deeper than an average of 52.

Either make kick coverage significantly better or give us back our ability to kick it inside the 10 consistently. The touch backs were the only thing covering up the horrible KOS and KRS pathing. I also don't know why it seems so controlled. We should have a slider for kick-offs that determines our accuracy versus going for power [I.E. the chance to kick it out of bounds].

I agree about this. In one of my games the kicker made a 55 yard field goal but didnt do a kick off longer than this.

I understand your arguments, but kicking is weird like that sometimes...For a field goal, you aren't worrying about hang time as much as a kickoff, where you want at least 4+ hang time. That could be part of the problem...idk...

I am down this year too, I am glad to see that a lot of people are in the same boat...

the kick off teams have got a lot better at covering kick tho.
