Speed isn't a major or a minor. Every time I put SP into speed, it feels like I am wasting it. :/. how do you get speed? Equipment?

train like hell until it's at 30+, save up skill points, and then invest.
It sucks, but it at least allows you to totally neglect speed for a long time and soft cap other stats that grow better than a HB. And after 32, the level bonuses for everyone are reduced to the point that I don't feel so bad investing in speed. In the meantime, you can help it with equipment.

the good news is that I dont think a classic FB needs more than the soft cap for speed anyway ... ton of agility will get you to the hole quick enough (with or without the ball) ..... bort didnt make speed for FB a major/minor for a reason ....

I've always found the most irritating quirk about FBs is that they think they're runners first and blockers second.
