Hey guys, I was just wondering what your thoughts are on the quick release VA and the pocket presence SA. I was thinking of adding heavy into one or both of these to my QB, to perhaps help his ability to get rid of the ball effectively under pressure, rather than taking sacks. And while I love our O-line, so many defense rely on heavy blitzes, and a ton of QB mistakes tend to happen under pressure, so being able to curb that in a way could be a big way to protect the football and have an effective pass game.

Thoughts on Pocket Presence:
It only directly says that the chances of being effected by a hurry goes down and allows the QB to make a better pass under pressure.

It doesn't speak of recognizing a blitz or unloading the pass quicker to avoid a sack, or the ability to move around in the pocket to prevent sacks.

Quick Release Description:
Getting the ball to the receiver quickly gives the defense less time to react. Each level of Quick Release gives a +5% chance to have a quick release when passing the ball.Unmet Prerequisites: 50 throwing

Quick Release Thoughts:
The description would lead me to believe that this ability simply gives you the chance to throw the ball quicker so that the defense has less time to react and make a play on the ball.

Does this mean that "quick release" would have no bearing on being able to get the ball off while under pressure, rather than taking a sack? In real life having a quick release is very useful for sack avoidance, but in GLB....? By putting 15 VPs into it I can have a 75% chance of it happening, though i'm not really sure what I'll have a 75% chance of doing really...

Any thoughts are welcome by you fine folks on what direction I should take my QB, and whether the 2 above things would be useful to pour into.

I think it will just help in avoiding INTs. I think this is a very good skill to have though, but I think I'd max out Laser Arm first.

The only unknown is what is the base chance? Without that its hard to know what the modifier gives you.
