I soft capped my vision at level 24 and was wondering if it was an ok idea.

It's OK. You should really do it at some point.
With the level gains, you gain more to Str/Blk than vision though, so it's always better to push these past several caps first. Your scouting bars seem to suggest you have already done this though - so you are certainly on the right track.
Also you might want to soft-cap agility at some point as the D line has been boosting agility.
During the process of building a G though, if you don't spend any SP in SAs initially, when you get to around lvl 24 you can have good attributes, so if you have done that then good for you.
