We went up against these guys in the playoffs. It looks like to me that they where doing the wildcat http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=285899&pbp_id=12436778 . Please let me know your guys input.

Not necessarily the Wildcat. It's usually based on the HB running with a dual threat if they can pass. The passing aspect isn't as practical on GLB since it's easier to make a dual threat QB.

Experimented with that quite a bit myself, and it is fairly effective at times, especially against teams that like to drop a ton of guys back into coverage. You just have to limit the number of times your HB passes. Though mine did hit a 14-yard first-down pass today with his beastly throwing score of 10, haha.

The strong I weak rollout is nasty.

It's actually pretty easy to get the HB not to pass. We did this the whole 4th quarter.

The contain pre-set plays (DE contain, LB contain, CB contain) will destroy it, like any outside run.

But those plays suck against almost all other plays.

Now that BORT has given the O-Co's so many fun and new plays, he needs to add Stunts and Zone Blitzing to the D. It would just be a couple more drop-down menus. If he already has a DE able to go into zone [DE Contain], why not offer it in the AI, on a per-player basis?

I really do not understand why we can't have the SS in Zone [playing a "Robber" in the middle] rather than always on the TE. Why not have the LDE fall into zone while the other 3 down Linemen rush? Why not re-route the RDE through the middle on a stunt?

I certainly wouldn't argue with that. It drives me absolutely spare that I can't tell a LB to stay in freaking run support and don't double the TE/WR or cover the FB when I know an inside rush is coming - at least without blitzing him.

If you wanted to run the wildcat with HB in at QB just for say the 4th Quarter with 21 point+ lead... Would that be possible?

Yes

How would you do that though? Put HB in as backup and favor backups with the lead? I guess it can't be QB specific, but with a big lead not too much harm in that.
