I realize that vision plays a role after the catch, but to what degree does it have a role in catching?

People have had success with capping both, jumping will give you an edge over most CBs when making a catch, so will make it easier to catch balls you can reach, vision helps you adjust more to bad passes, meaning your in range to catch more passes.

Ideally you'd want both up, jumping will likely help more if your having lots of drops or not getting enough receptions, vision would help if your seeing a lot of incompletions.

Bort doesn't know anything about this game.

All he said was that vision was a part of it, along with catching, agility, jumping, SAs etc.

I still dont know if I should spend points on getting vision and jumping to my 40s or just train them up. I currently have them in their low 30s

If nothing else, vision will help you run after the catch.

It depends on the rest of your build and what other good training combinations you have left. I would want speed, agility, and catching to the point where I did not plan on spending more SPs on them before using SPs on jumping/vision.

Vision is underrated. My 38 WR used to have problems with a lot of in completions. Not drops, he was getting passed to and just wasn't getting the ball. I soft capped his vision and he gets a lot more catches now. He also seems to get open more easily now, I suppose through spotting holes in the coverage or something like that.

I think vision helps you break for the ball sooner when it is in the air.
