It is an interesting concept, as the DTs have "shed block" - which SA does a guard have to counter this?

Shed Block appears to give a bonus to breaking a block, therefore a guard combats it by boosting their chance to hold a block.

* BLOCKING
* AGILITY
* % to hold block AEQ
* PASS/RUN BLOCK

Seems like solid advice. At the start of next season I will have 4 more blocking, 8 more agility, 1 more Pass Block SA. I hope this works.

BTW - That's just my guess on what helps hold a block the best

Maybe STR, STA, CONF who knows what else factors in there. Best bet is just to try and hold your blocks better and work toward increasing that.

Things will balance out. My goal as a DT will be a run-stuffer, while the other slowbuild on my team went straight to 68 agility and will have 100 agility. We'll be a good duo :-D

Not to disappoint, but I've seen agility DTs do much better at stuffing the run than str DTs.

Besides "Pass Block", what other SA's you guys think that are good/useful?

Also, "Absorb Pain" doesn't seem to be mentioned a lot. Seems kind of weak as a premium SA.

Foundation is a good SA.

Yeah, we'll see. I've got 2 recruits coming over anyway, so if my player doesn't work out i'll just take the 200 flex back =)

Proof?
Anyways, I'd get some Shock Block just because Guards still need strength to counter NTs and DTs. Because of that, if they happen to go up against anybody that's high on agility and speed, they should be able to push them back. If not, they're either severely out leveled, or the Guards need to work on their agility, speed and/or vision.

I dunno, NT gets doubled teamed on almost every play. Super Agile/Low str NT will probably be pancaked or pushed way back. I still think any decent NT should be carrying alot of str to hold that line.

As for shock block I think its quite effective. Strength/Shock block moves the pocket for the QB in this replay.

I see D-line hitting dimishing returns alot faster than O-line because they have less stats to build up. If well built O-line can already neutralize most of these freaks, they will completely shut them down when leveling up starts to have less impact.
